Trone Outdoor Motorsports Welcomes Lucas Wolfe to the Iconic No. 39

Central PA (July 10, 2026) – Trone Outdoor Motorsports is proud to announce a new partnership with Central Pennsylvania fan favorite Lucas Wolfe, who will climb behind the wheel of the legendary No. 39 sprint car beginning immediately.

The move marks the highly anticipated return of Wolfe to weekly PA Posse competition. The son of sprint car legend Randy Wolfe, Lucas has built a stellar career with countless memorable performances at Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway, and tracks across the region.

Legacy Meets Proven Performance

The Trone Outdoor Motorsports name carries one of the richest traditions in Central Pennsylvania sprint car racing. From Ray and Martha Trone’s dominant Trone’s Sunoco Special No. 39 program (1951-1971) to the present-day operation led by car owner John Trone, the iconic maroon-and-white No. 39 has remained synonymous with high expectations, carrying standout drivers including Greg Hodnett, Doug Esh, Cory Haas, and many others to Victory Lane.

Wolfe brings an equally impressive résumé to the seat, including four Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek championships, two Selinsgrove National Open victories, a Central Pennsylvania championship, and more than 50 career 410 sprint car feature wins. His experience, determination, and familiarity with Central Pennsylvania’s toughest competition make him a natural fit for the historic No. 39.

After a long absence from competition this season, fans have eagerly awaited Wolfe’s return. Now, one of the region’s most accomplished drivers joins forces with the Trone 39, creating an exciting combination for the remainder of the 2026 season.

Catch the No. 39 This Weekend. Wolfe will debut aboard the Trone Outdoor Motorsports No. 39 tonight at Clinton County Speedway before returning Saturday at Lincoln Speedway.

A new chapter begins for one of Central Pennsylvania’s most iconic sprint car teams, and the racing world will be watching as Lucas Wolfe and Trone Outdoor Motorsports look to add another winning chapter to the storied legacy of the 39.
